Benhall Telephone Box currently celebrates the planting of daffodils round the parish in the autumn of 2021 and their first growth in spring 2022. Many people volunteered to take part in the planting, from pensioners to pre-school children. Over two thousand bulbs were planted, paid for by our Parish Council - giving us all pleasure for years to come and intended as a memorial to those who died in the Covid outbreak of that time.
Pictured helping with the planting are lower left: Bill Henderson, Wendy Robins, Carol Durrant and Marion Senior; lower centre: Riven Brace, David Secret, Clare Secret, Mark Puddefoot and Richard Evans. Lower right image - paintings by Benhall Pre-school children.
For help in sourcing the images, very many thanks to Patrick Budden, David Burns, Chris Durrant, Jane Evans, Carolyn Glennon, Pauline Graham, Elaine Hawes, Angela Nicholls, Zoe Plant.
The telephone box is designed and executed by Benhall resident Derek Chambers
